Kids love being outside during school, but are you worried the transition to an outdoor classroom is too chaotic? Here are a few of our top tips:
🌱Remind your students they're outside for class, not recess.
🌱Create an outdoor agreement or garden pledge to outline expectations.
🌱When addressing your students outside, don't make them squint into the sun!
🌱If you're pointing out items, make sure they're in your students' line of sight. Constantly turning around can be very distracting.
🌱Embrace the outdoor energy! Recognize the important benefit being outside has on kids and push your own boundaries as an educator.
