why does #DEI matter in the #musicindustry ?

i had the honor of presenting testimony at the #FreedomToBeHeard event held by senate minority leader raumeshakbari here in #Tennessee at #FiskUniversity. 

it is not going to happen overnight and there is obviously push back from people who like things the way they are …. 👀

Given the last few weeks in our city I feel like I’m clinging to moments of hope where I can feel a room full of people wanting better for EVERYONE around us. 

change doesn’t happen over night 
and i believe in what is possible.
