Somehow we always barely missed the crowd. Either coming, or going, we found ourselves in these churches alone with enough time to wander and find what found us. Run by a congregation of cloistered Carmelites, the walls of this space are lined with the Our Father, or Pater Noster in Latin, in some 140 languages, according to atlasobscura. Of course we found the ones we know, the languages that run through the blood of our ancestors, but the incredible diversity of languages that all confessed the same belief was truly a sight. ⁠
