Melanie Vaughan ’20 is a music education major from San Antonio. This fall, she will enter Trinity’s Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program.⁣
⁣
Melanie says that some of her proudest accomplishments at Trinity have come from the opportunities she had had to travel abroad and perform alongside her peers.⁣
⁣
“I was able to perform in China and Taiwan twice with studio members from (professor) Chia-Wei Lee’s studio, and I also traveled to Austria with the Chamber singers where we performed in St. Stephen’s Cathedral, which was truly an amazing and unforgettable moment. I also was very fortunate to be able to have had my senior recital this past fall, which was one of my proudest moments at Trinity because I got to share music I had worked on for a year with my friends and family.”⁣

When asked about what she will miss most about Trinity, Melanie points to the people who have impacted her time at Trinity.⁣

“What I will truly miss about Trinity is my peers and my music professors, as well as the opportunities Trinity has offered me. Trinity has truly shaped me into the person I am now, and I will forever be grateful for my time here.”⁣
