Update: Within seconds of this post, Pie’s foster parents decided they just couldn’t live life without him. We’re so happy he won their hearts and can live happily-ever-after with his most favorite humans! 🐾

It's National Adopt-A-Less-Adoptable-Pet Week! Here at SHS, we are not fond of this label and prefer to describe these floofs as "unique" or "quirky". If a pet is staying at a shelter much longer than others, they may be labeled as "less adoptable." It could be due to their age, a medical issue, a less popular breed, or pets with behavior issues. In the pictures, Pie may look like he found his forever home but he hasn't just yet! Pie is only 2-years-old & lived most of his life on the streets of Texas. He was found having the time of his life running & playing with children at recess but soon found himself at a shelter. Pie needed to be transferred because he was having a hard time finding a home, but he found his way to us! 

This sweet boy may never have even had a family to call his own before & isn't quite sure what he's been doing wrong. He's been a shelter pet since January of last year. He has lots of energy in his kennel & is just so excited when he meets humans! In fact, one of his previous fosters thought he may be too much to handle but would gave it a try. To their surprise, he settled right down after his walk & was ready to watch TV and snuggle. He really is a love bug that deserves a chance. 

He's currently in a foster home while he works on his training and to give him a taste of what real life in a forever home is like. He just needed a glimmer of hope & love! His foster parents recently took him to Glacier National Park & he loved all the hiking & sightseeing. If you have room in your heart & room in your home for a forever pup, Pie would love to be the best of buds. He will need to be the only pet in the home at this time.
