🏒 Meet Coach Sobi of Battle Born Hockey School 🏒

Sobi started playing hockey at 2.5 years old and now has 25 years of playing hockey experience. He played AA and AAA in the Chicagoland area until he joined the Air Force and got stationed at Travis AFB near the Vacaville rink when the Raiders were still there. 🇺🇸

Since beginning to coach at Battle Born last summer, Sobi has realized his passion for coaching, with a primary focus on skating. Growing up playing for incredible coaches, he now aims to give back to the game in the same way.

Sobi’s favorite part of being a Battle Born coach is witnessing the massive improvements from start to finish at each camp. He says it’s remarkable to see how many repetitions and slight corrections can significantly impact a skater’s abilities in such a short time. 🙌

Comfortable playing any position except goalie, Sobi primarily play as an offensive defenseman. He’s particularly excited in working with defensemen to teach them how to strategically be aggressive in shutting down opponents. ⭐️

Coach Sobi will be at the upcoming D-Core Camp on 8/18 (for defensemen), so make sure to sign up!
