#FutureBlueFriday 🎇: Meet the 2023's first Future Blue International Grant fellow🌊Karina Samuel (karinasamuel_) #MakingWavesForClimate from Coral Springs, Florida, through her organization Bye Bye Platic Bags Florida🐬. This year, Bye Bye Plastic Bags Florida hopes to engage with its other chapters worldwide to reduce plastic waste in multiple cities worldwide. They hope to engage at least 1,000 cleanup attendees in their multi-day clean-up event and remove over 1 ton of plastic waste through this initiative.

🌈 BBPBF has also been recognized by the Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes, The International Young Eco-Hero Awards, The Billy Michal Student Leadership Award, the Points of Light Award, and the CEHN Child Health Advocate Award.

🌱Rolling back two years, Bow Seat and the Future Blue Youth Council (FBYC)🌊 launched the inaugural Fellowship Grant Program, a by-youth, a for-youth initiative that provides funding and mentorship to young people who are addressing environmental issues 🚰 in their local communities. We are very excited to have Karina on board with us and look forward to the outcome of this impactful project.
