#TBT 🌎 From the junior category, this provocative art focuses on the effect of melting ice on arctic animals: “I wanted to show the irony of animals from the South and North Poles gathering together and taping the icebergs with manmade tape. ” 

🐬Our earth is heating at a radical rate, and the global temperature has already reached 1.2 degrees, all set to reach a record high of 1.5 degrees within the next 5 years.  This severely threatens melting icebergs and the animals that depend on them for survival. Loss of ice and thawing permafrost spells trouble for polar bears, walruses, arctic foxes 🦊, snowy owls, reindeer, and many other species. As they are affected, so too are the other species that depend on them, in addition to people.
