Last but not least in our 2022 Fellowship grantee #FeatureFriday series is opuntia_mucilage, a project led by José Pablo Castelazo Polanco (18), Regina Sánchez Montes (16), and Bernardo Landa Voticky (17) in Mexico City, Mexico! 🇲🇽

Together, they’re exploring whether a natural coagulant (nopal mucilage) might work as an ecological, economical, and effective alternative to chemical coagulants during the water treatment process 👩🏻‍🔬👨🏻‍🔬👨🏻‍🔬

A future.blue.youth.council grant initiative, The Fellowship Program gives funding and mentorship to students ages 13-19 who are addressing water-related issues in their communities through new or emerging projects 💧

We can’t wait to see José, regis.sanchezm, and bernardo_landav make progress on their project with the help of the 2022 Council and the grant we’ve awarded them! 😃
