If you’re thinking about submitting spoken word poetry to the 2022 Ocean Awareness Contest but just aren’t sure where to start 🤔, or you’re looking for ways to make your piece/performance better so that you have a chance at winning the Voice of the Sea Award, this is your chance to ask questions and learn from a past winner!

Out of the loop? Here’s a quick rundown:

-The Voice of the Sea Award recognizes two spoken word poetry submissions to the Ocean Awareness Contest at the Gold-level with cash prizes: $1,000 for a Junior submission and $1,500 for a Senior submission 🙌
-The 2022 Ocean Awareness Contest, “The Funny Thing About Climate Change,” challenges middle and high schoolers ages 11-18 worldwide to learn about climate change and its impact on the ocean, and to explore new ways (like comedy) to communicate the urgency of the climate crisis 🌊
-The Contest is 🆓 to enter
-On top of the Voice of the Sea Award, hundreds of other cash awards are available 💰
-The deadline to submit is June 13th, 2022 ⏰
