I just got this month's issue of Grassroots Motorsports (October issue in August, but I never have understood issue dates on magazines). Editor Tim Suddard and his team continue to print one of the best hardcore car magazines. Tim is a good friend and his knowledge and commitment to amateur racing is pure.  Despite the overall demise of print media, GRM is doing great and the content is better, more useful and more relevant than ever. 

His Starting Line Editorial entitled "Keeping up with Supercars" this month makes a great point about performance technology in today's exceptional cars. He wonders if he should let go of his well sorted E30 BMW for a faster, more modern track car.  On the opposite page of his editorial is a full page advertisement for the 2021 SEMA Show featuring our coyote-powered MK4R race car that we built with Joey Logano. That car has come a long way since we built one in the pages of GRM back in 2002 promoting our NASA Challenge Series! All our cars have gotten faster!  I've half a mind to ship him my 5.2L Aluminator-powered Coupe R. I was passing race-prepped Corvettes and Porsches off line and at will last time I ran her at VIR!  Technology has put us in the golden age of performance for sure and the same technology that makes modern sports cars so fast makes Factory Fives even faster than ever.
