## Caption

February is Black History Month, a month dedicated to recognizing, reflecting, and celebrating the immeasurable accomplishments of the Black community, as well as directly acknowledging continued discrimination the community still faces. 

In order to acknowledge the vast contributions the Black community has made to culture and history as a whole, we want to spotlight @fkatwigs - a revolutionary British electro-synth-avant-garde pop artist with multiple critically acclaimed albums under her belt. 

Starting as a back-up dancer, Twigs began releasing music in 2012 with an EP titled EP1 and followed up with her first album LP1, which garnered mass critical claim and was nominated for a Mercury Award. Twigs has since released an EP, Album, and mixtape that have all been met with overwhelming praise. Twigs’ most well known work, Magdelene, was considered the number 1 album on four year-end lists (The A.V, Club, Clash, Now, and Time) and is credited with ringing in an entirely new genre to the mainstream with the popularity of single Cellophane. 

An innovator, constant adapter, and with a keen ability to master any sound she puts her hands on, fkatwigs is a fixture in the pop-culture lexicon and cemented in musical history.✨
