The Poor People’s Campaign’s turnout was massive in Resurrection City. 

Organizers called churches, community groups, civic organizations, and media groups to get people involved. The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) worked toward a diverse gathering. Whether you were jobless, on welfare, young or old, the group wanted everyone in DC. 

Learn how Americans of all backgrounds worked together in the exhibition “Solidarity Now!” at the museum until July 31.
