What made the Poor People’s Campaign so unique was that it pushed poverty issues to the forefront. The matter affected many people regardless of race, gender, and religion. Wealthy Americans were also invited to participate. 

The exhibition “Solidarity Now!” at the museum illuminates how people of all backgrounds united in 1968.
