Dr. King fought for decent housing for poor people in cities across America. His efforts led to President Johnson signing the Fair Housing Act, which was a part of the Civil Rights Act of 1968. 

In a recent study released by the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call For Moral Revival, there are 5 vacant homes for every homeless person in the country. 

At NCRM, we believe that everyone should have an equal opportunity to receive affordable housing.
