Her determination and perseverance shattered glass ceilings for millions of women when she became the first African-American First Lady of the United States and wife of the first African-American President of the United States.

Her grace, compassion, and kindness opened new doors for American women as well as women and girls around the world through her dedication to women’s empowerment and education.

On October 14, we honor First Lady Michelle Obama and her endeavors. Join us virtually for the 30th Freedom Award Ceremony.
