If you freeze up or get nervous during an interview, just remember the STAR method. This is a great way to answer questions that start with “tell me about a time when…” 

SITUATION: Describe the relevant details and context of your example.
TASK: Share what your role and responsibility was in the situation.
ACTION: Detail the steps you took to address the issue.
RESULT: What was the outcome or happy ending (preferably with quantifiable results)?

Prior to your interview, it’s a good idea to think of some situations that you’re proud of and would like to talk about. Just try to keep them relevant to the role. (Don’t be like Lily.)
