It’s Fri-nally Friday! Who has plans to hit the trail this weekend? Anyone? Bueller? 

Need some handy dandy steps to make the most of your outdoor adventure? No? Well, we’re going share anyways. 

Step 1: Put on your hiking boots, or as we like to call them, your fancy foot gloves.

Step 2: Pack your backpack with essentials like snacks, water, and a map (or just rely on your phone and hope for the best).

Step 3: Start walking in the direction of nature. If you see a tree, you're probably on the right track. But what if I’m in the desert and there’s nothing but sand? Touché. Go forth. 

Step 4: When on the trail, take breaks to admire the view, catch your breath, and pretend to check your phone for signal.

Step 5: Make sure to take lots of selfies to prove you were outdoors this weekend and #LivingYourBestLife.

Step 6: If you encounter wildlife, remember to keep a safe distance. Refrain from selfies here, as they often end up blurry when you and your phone fly through the air because you got too close to that 500lb animal. Choices. 

Step 7: Don't forget to stop and smell the flora...just make sure it’s not poison ivy. You can smell the fauna too, but again, choices. 

Step 8: Find out what poison ivy looks like. 

Step 9: If you encounter a steep incline, just remember it as great cardio while you curse whoever planned the route. It doesn’t matter if it was you. 

Step 10: Embrace the dirt, the sweat, the bugs – it's all part of the experience. Oh? You just wanted to watch the park film?
