When you’re reflecting on life and stuff but then start thinking about how you’re named after your short tail. 

I just don’t know, Bob. I just don’t, oh, hey there. Didn’t see you there. 

I am Bob. I am leaving. Located within the John Day River basin in east-central Oregon, @jdfossilbedsnps is known for its well-preserved layers of fossil plants and mammals that lived in the region between the late Eocene, about 45 million years ago, and the late Miocene, about 5 million years ago. Beyond an amazing fossil record, the park also hosts a variety of flora and fauna, including numerous bird species and a mix of small and large mammals who also enjoy a moment or two to reflect on life and their surroundings.
