Bison on vacation pictures be like…

When vacationing with family, posing for the quintessential "vacation" photos is a must. We recommend a park entrance sign, but don’t forget the colorful “welcome to <insert state>” signs as well. Little known fact, bison have a standard set of go-to "poses" that they use for their photos. 

First, there is the aloof sideways stance where the bison faces a sign while maintaining no expression and remains silent except for the occasional sigh as they wait for the picture to be taken. Think teenage angst. (Mood. It probably did.) A slight variation is when the bison makes no attempt to actually look at the sign and settles for a view of the sign pole instead. Meh. Take the picture. 

The second go to pose is when the bison decides it would rather sit in front of the sign than stand for another minute waiting for you to focus and take the picture. 

Finally, there is the “ironic surprise” photo op. To do this, the bison likes to find a picture that relates to bison in general and then pretend they just stumbled upon on it. “Who, me? So fun.” Take the picture.

Do you have a go to park photo pose? As long as it’s not a selfie with the bison, you should get a good shot.
