“Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye to all of it!” Well, just for a few months. Visitor services at @saugusironworks are scheduled to close on October 30th, but they’ll be back in 2023! Stop by the next two weekends for tours of the 17th-century Iron Works House and the replica iron works. The museum is open 10-4, Wednesday through Sunday. 

With the archeological site of the seventeenth-century iron-making plant, the museum collection, the seventeenth-century Iron Works House, and the reconstructed iron works complex, Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site illustrates the critical role of iron making to seventeenth-century settlement and its legacy in shaping the early history of the nation.
