White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany gave her first press briefing on Friday, the first one by a White House press secretary in 417 days.
McEnany, who took over the job in April, promised reporters she will “never lie” to the them, and said she plans to continue holding news conferences. McEnany’s predecessor, Stephanie Grisham, never held a press briefing. “I will never lie to you. You have my word on that,” McEnany said.

Friday’s news conference mostly focused on the administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. #whitehouse #KayleighMcEnany 📸 Jim Watson/AFP/Getty Images
