“Tristan was the most amazing, sweet, awkward, stick-obsessed dog.  He was a very cautious boy with everything he did or taking food.  Even after being here for over ten years, he still had to inspect everything we tried to give him thoroughly.  He always needed assistance when getting in the car (while grumbling about it), and always asked for permission before jumping up on the couch. His favorite game was bite bite with my hand under the blanket. He had the sweetest, most soulful eyes and loved to headbutt my chest to get some pets. He loved every person he encountered and loved saying hi to the security guards on our walks. He had so many quirky behaviors that I cannot list them all. 
A couple of weeks ago a cancerous mass was found in his GI tract.  After doing exploratory surgery to have it removed it was determined it could not be removed, so he was started on chemo. After a couple of chemo treatments it was discovered that he had Liposarcoma and chemo would not be an option.  We switched to Mistletoe treatments and ozone treatments to try and shrink the tumor, but eventually, his bad days started outnumbering his good days so we had to say goodbye. 
He is missed greatly. From his stick obsessions to trying to get me arrested while he cased out cars on our walks. He was definitely my soul dog and I feel the ache of him being gone every single day, but he is pain-free now and is probably doing the most amazing job hoarding all the sticks where he is at 💔
