Sending our warmest wishes and congratulations to Diane Waters on her recent retirement from Vidant Medical Center. Diane has been with us in the Purchasing department for 39 years! She shared more about her history with us at her farewell party. “I started as a secretary in the stockroom and became the first buyer a year later. I’ve seen many changes and helped purchase all the equipment for all the new buildings since 1980. I have loved my job and the people I work with. I’ve always known that the main customer for our hospital is our patients, and we strive to make sure all the supplies and equipment are here for them when needed. Throughout my time here, I volunteered with the United Way, Chamber of Commerce and Pitt Community College.  I’ll miss my work and friends but am super ready for the next chapter in my life.”

Diane, we wish you well on this wonderful #VidantMilestone! Thank you for your hard work, spanning nearly four decades! You will be missed.
