When you know, you know💞 This #WHYDGWEDNESDAY we’re sharing the story of someone who knew DG was home from the beginning. 

Meet Kristen Louis (MC’23)!!! 🎀 kristen.louiss 

“I went through recruitment during a very tumultuous season of my life where I was looking to find and recover pieces of myself. Even though it was my first ever conversation with them, all of the girls I talked to during the recruitment process made me feel so grounded and at ease. And what made dg stand out to me, was how every girl I spoke to, instead of dancing around the not-so-highlight-reel parts of my life, they embraced those parts of me so intentionally and stood by me in appreciating how difficult experiences can shape you in really beautiful ways if you let them. And that was really affirming, and I’m so glad to be supported by a sisterhood who’s values are rooted in hope and optimism. The women in Delta Gamma, with all their different interests and gifts, inspire me so much everyday and I look up to each of them for their character and the light they share so generously. My fellow sisters are so accepting of and rooted in who they are as individuals that it’s hard not to want to be exactly who you are around them. Being a part of this chapter has helped me grow so much and has expanded my capacity to love in ways I didn’t know were possible, and in DG i’ve found people (marina, asia, abby, sol, hana, cas, monte) I genuinely consider to be my sisters who give me strength, support, comfort, and fill me up with laughter and just add so much color to my life. They really are the most kind and fun group of girls…I love you all endlessly <33”
