So saddened to hear of Toni Morrison’s passing. Last night I was actually thinking about her quote “Love is or it ain’t, thin love ain’t love at all.” A quote I often refer back to about settling, or in last night’s case, about how you can’t shout “love and unity” at white supremacy or say that “love trumps hates” when your “love” is performative and has no depth or accountability.
