Why have one internship when you can have 2️⃣! Join us as we PAWS for sepgirl, Senior ugagrady Journalism and Spanish double major. 🎉 She enjoyed an in-person internship with Seacrest Studios at Levine Children's Hospital and a virtual internship with Spectrum News 13 Orlando. She attributes her internship success to attending UGA Career Center #ArchReady Programs, Drop-In Hours, and the #UGAMentor Program.

➡️ Here's what she had to say about her experiences: "I have really loved being a part of Spectrum News 13 Orlando’s digital desk. I am interested in pursuing a career in television broadcast journalism, so being on-camera is something that I hope to do one day. The opportunity I’ve had this summer has given me a unique experience that I think will absolutely help me in the future. With the constantly-evolving digital world that we’re living in, I think it’s becoming increasingly important for reporters to understand how the digital sphere works at their station and in general. Getting experience with curating content specifically for the web and for social media has been super interesting and has taught me a lot. I’m really looking forward to finishing my last year in school and entering the industry with the knowledge I’ve gained and the new skill set I’ve developed through the internship program.

As for Seacrest Studios, I have absolutely loved getting to combine my passion for broadcast communication with my love for serving others. There is truly not a job more rewarding than designing television and radio programming for patients in a children's hospital. Each day is exciting and different and I genuinely wake up each day excited to head to the hospital for my shift."

➡️ Her advice to other students? "Say yes! It's important not to overwork yourself or bite off more than you can chew, but don't mix that up with going outside of your comfort zone. I was a little bit nervous to take on two roles at once, but I knew they were both part time and I was sure that I could handle it. Don't let fear stop you from saying yes to an incredible opportunity!"

Congratulations, Sam! #Paws4DawgsOnTheJob
