“My name is Emily Garner and I have spent this past summer interning at the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium in Omaha, Nebraska, in the Hoofstock Department. As a pre-vet student interested in Zoo Med, this internship has allowed me to gain hands-on experience with large exotic animal care along with granting me the ability to watch medical procedures in person. Working with my favorite animals at one of the top zoos in the country has gotten my foot in the door for my dream career path and has gotten me #ArchReady for future wildlife-related careers and opportunities.” 🦏🐆🦒 -Emily Garner
