Ed Greene announced Friday his retirement from 9newsdenver, ending a 47-year career in Denver television.

Greene's career in Denver television and radio included stints at KUSA, KMGH, KCNC and KOA Radio. 

Greene's first appearance on 9NEWS was during the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta.

During his 9NEWS goodbye Friday, Greene passed his weather clicker to bianchiweather who will be the new 9NEWS Impact Weather Team meteorologist for 9newsmornings.
