#FBF to last June when senior co-captain jamesjasperson set the World Record for the fastest mile run in full firefighter gear and SCBA (self contained breathing apparatus) - 6:33.3!!! His gear weighed over 50 pounds. He did this to raise over $1500 for fourseasonfighters !

James is a part-time firefighter with the South Whatcom Fire Authority. He has continued to work during his cross county season, even working an all night shift last night, just 8 days before the NCAA national championships. We are so proud of James and all of our other student athletes for what they do athletically, academically, and in the community!
