On Saturday, June 3, the Grade 12 band class performed their final concert as part of Jewish Music Week's Community Melaveh Malka concert at Beth Emeth Synagogue. Alongside the band's performances of Hava Nagila and a medley from Fiddler on the Roof, the band premiered a composition by Grade 12 band student Cai S. titled "The Ocean Chant". According to Cai, who conducted the piece himself, the rhythmic ebb and flow mirrored the everlasting persistence of waves crashing in the ocean and represents TanenbaumCHAT as the steady foundation for his cohort as they look towards the next phase of their lives. The evening was a beautiful celebration of the joy of Jewish music and a wonderful opportunity for our grads to perform for the last time as TanenbaumCHAT students. #findyourself #makingmusic #catchingabus #gradtrip #tanenbaumchat
