And it’s a 1-2 finish for Team USA! 🇺🇸
•
Torri Huske takes gold and Gretchen Walsh snags silver as Team USA earns its first 1-2 finish in the 100-meter butterfly since 1984. 🥇🥈
•
Huske posted a time of 55.59 seconds, beating Walsh to the wall by just 0.04 seconds to win her first individual Olympic gold. 👀
•
By snagging the silver, Walsh, the event’s current world record holder, earned her first individual Olympic medal. 👏
•
FUN FACT: Huske’s gold medal victory comes just three years after she missed the podium in Tokyo by a hundredth of a second. 🔥
•
What a finish! 🤩 #thegist
