A Biles but not by Biles? Wow. 🤩
•
Panama’s Hillary Heron became the first gymnast besides Simone Biles to complete one of Biles’ signature skills at the Olympics on Sunday. ‼️
•
Heron nailed a 13.033 for her floor routine, starting with the Biles I, a double back layout with a half twist. 🔥
•
The Biles I was first performed by Biles at the 2013 World Championships, making it the first skill to be named after her. 🤸
•
“I just cannot describe it. I think I grew up watching her,” Heron told Gymnastics Now when asked about being the first to complete the skill other than Biles while in a competition with her. “It’s just incredibly amazing. I feel so honored, and I think it’s such a slay.” 💫
•
A slay indeed. 👏 #thegist
