Alumni Connections producer/Com & DART senior

Throughout my time at La Salle, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with some great alumni who have shared their experiences and valuable advice. I am a senior digital arts and communication double major with a concentration in media and journalism. I am one of the photographers for La Salle’s Athletics Digital Media team. I’m also a director and producer for La Salle TV’s La Salle sports show, “SportsLine.”

At La Salle, I have gained hands on experience with studio production, journalism, design, and how to create meaningful media. Being a digital arts and communication major has shown me how complimentary the two majors are, going hand in hand in expanding my skills in design and communication. Getting the opportunity to talk with multiple alumni has offered real-world experience concerning how education has led to grads achieving success in their fields.
 
Memorable Moment?
The TV studio upgrade. I loved seeing the results of the higher quality video and experimenting with different effects for a show. I also loved redesigning the graphics.

My Advice to Students?
Try new things and get involved on campus. Even if you are not sure you will like a certain activity or club, come to one of the meetings and try it at least once if you’re interested. If you didn’t like, it no problem. You might surprise yourself and find a new hobby that you didn’t know you would like or be good at.
