Gia's responsibilities include leading the sports department by shooting, editing, & writing scripts for their nightly newscasts that she anchors for their sports segment. She also occasionally goes live in the field at various sporting events.

Favorite memory from La Salle?
"My favorite memory at my time at La Salle was doing La Salle TV. We always had a good time whether it was arguing on the desk of SportsTalk Philadelphia or dressing up on SportsLine for special occasions."

Valuable lesson learned?
"La Salle taught me from day 1 at orientation the importance of internships. I had an internship almost every semester from my freshman year on, which gave me hands on experience for the workforce, especially if you want to work in TV. I would not be where I am today without the internships I got through La Salle."

Advice for Students?
"The advice I would give utters my previous answer: internships! La Salle gives you the opportunities and has a great alumni network to intern for so many different companies. Internships let you get real life experience while also trying out a field. Who knows, you may not even like it. It’s better to figure that out at an internship than at a real job. Also, get involved on campus to get different types of experiences, like La Salle TV. Not every school has an easily accessible TV station to get reps as early as your freshman year. Last thing, reach out to any La Salle alum to shadow or to even just connect! (Any former Explorer I've ever reached out to has always answered.)"
