May’s responsibilities include leading faculty & program partners in creating engaging and effective online & hybrid learning experiences with an eye toward pedagogy & visual design. She develops the strategy and designing the online learning environment to guarantee that their  programs and courses prioritize student-centered learning and align with the school’s academic goals. She is also responsible for guiding the Penn Vet community on best practices for the design, development, and evaluation of instructional content and training their faculty & staff on the use and implementation of new educational technologies.

May found this job through the recommendation and referral of a couple of former colleagues who also joined various departments within Penn.

Favorite memory from La Salle?
“One of my best memories from La Salle was being a Resident Assistant and getting to know each incoming class of Explorers and introducing them to the La Salle community and the Philly area.”

Valuable lesson learned?
“A big takeaway that I learned from my time at La Salle is that the act of learning never ends, and it’s important to always be open and willing to learn from your experiences. Whatever the situation may be, having the ability to learn from the good and find the silver lining in the bad will take you a long way in your personal and professional life.”

Advice for Students?
“The best advice I can give to current students is to step out of your comfort zone, explore new experiences, and seize every opportunity to make new connections and build community. These connections and the community you create can definitely support and enhance your career & your professional opportunities in the future.”
