How could seaweed play a role in action to #CutMethane? Reducing bovine belches might sound like a strange way to tackle the climate crisis, but the most significant way dairy cows produce methane, a powerful greenhouse gas, is through their burps. 🐄 🐮 

Wolfe's Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment is part of a group of visionaries researching climate-smart farming practices like changing a cow’s diet and supplementing it with feed additives that reduce burps. And because feed additives made with a species of red tropical seaweed may cut methane from belching as much as 80%, seaweed could be a promising solution.
