Mockups are great because they give a design life and show different ways the design could be implemented in the real world.

Make sure to choose mockups that are relevant to the business type you are designing for. 
For example, with a restaurant logo, you could create mockups for a cup, napkin or signage!

Don’t only show the mockup. Sometimes mockups add texture or shadowing that’s not in the design file.
Make sure to show what the actual file or flattened design will look like.
