She waited (impatiently) all. day. long. for enough snow to go outside and play in and it didn’t happen until nearly sundown. But snow days in the south as a kid means going out anyway because you don’t know when you’ll get another one, even though mom is tired and doesn’t want to deal with the wet, muddy fallout.
