Georgia Man Sexually Abused and Raped Three Generations of the Same Family; Sentenced to Life in Prison⁠

A #Georgia man is going to serve life in prison for raping and molesting three generations of the same family.⁠

On Monday, 66-year-old #BennieFrankJohnson was sentenced to two life terms and an additional five years after being found guilty of rape, aggravated child molestation and child molestation, The New York Post reports. Johnson, a grandfather, was arrested in May 2018 after he sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl in 2017. The mother of the victim came forward and said Johnson sexually abused her when she was a child as well.⁠

During his trial, another witness revealed that Johnson raped her as a child when he was married to her mother, the news outlet reports. The victim’s mother referred to Johnson’s crimes against her family as a “generational curse.” In a statement, Assistant District Attorney Alex Clark said Johnson will “will never be able to abuse another child again.”⁠

The New York Post reports Johnson, a Mableton resident, is being held without bond.
