Man Charged With Buying Assault Rifle for Kyle Rittenhouse Takes Plea Deal⁠

The man who bought an assault rifle for #KyleRittenhouse just took a plea deal. #DominickBlack, who is 20 now, was charged in November 2020 with two counts of delivering a dangerous weapon to a minor which resulted in death.⁠

Rittenhouse was found not guilty after killing two protestors in Kenosha. Rittenhouse, 19, a resident of Illinois stormed the state line on Aug. 25, 2020, to Wisconsin in the middle of a civil unrest protest. While there, he killed two and wounded another. Now his friend that purchased the rifle for him is facing charges since Rittenhouse was too young to purchase a gun.⁠

Black purchased the weapon at a hardware store in Rusk County in May earlier that year. In November, a jury found Rittenhouse not guilty; however, Black’s case is still up in the air.⁠

NBC News reports Friday, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger filed a proposed plea agreement. It suggests that Black will plead no contest to a pair of citations, pay $2,000 in fines, and the felony counts could be dismissed.
