Man Kills Unarmed Motorist Who Parked in His Driveway to Look for Directions, Bonds Out Hours Later⁠

A #Texas man was allowed to bond out of jail just hours after murdering an unarmed motorist who parked in his driveway.⁠

The shooting took place on October 11th at around 3:42 a.m. in the #Martindale area. When #CaldwellCounty Sheriff’s Office responded, they located 31-year-old #AdilDghoughi suffering from serious injuries. Sadly, he died shortly after at a nearby hospital. The man who pulled the trigger, Terry Turner, told authorities that he noticed an “unknown vehicle” parked next to his truck in his driveway with its lights off. Turner retrieved his gun and confronted the motorist, who had cut the lights on and put the car in reverse.⁠

Turner then followed the vehicle on foot, shooting at the driver’s side door. He phoned 911 to confess that he’d just “killed a guy” but claimed that Dghoughi had pointed a gun at him first. However, there was no gun found in the victim’s vehicle. Dghoughi was a Moroccan national, leading several to believe that the shooting was racially motivated.⁠

Sarah Todd, Dghoughi’s girlfriend, told CNN that she believes her boyfriend had gotten lost in the area and pulled over to look for directions when Turner killed him.
