The former officer who initially pulled over Tyre Nichols, tased him, and could be overheard on body-camera saying he hopes his fellow cops “stomp” on Nichols, will not be criminally charged. The Shelby County DA’s office tells me that Hemphill has been cooperative with them and is expected to testify at trial.
