As we begin Black History Month, we shine a spotlight on Anthony Ray Hinton.

Hinton is an activist, writer, and author who was wrongly convicted of two murders in 1985 and was held on death row for 28 years before he was released in 2015. His unwavering hope, resilience, and faith have defied all odds, reminding us that the power of belief can overcome any challenge.

Hinton will be coming to Stepinac next month to speak to the student body about his book, which was a school-wide read with students, staff, and parents; "The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row."
