A little over four years ago I was taking a walk with two girl friends asking them how they didn’t run out of content to talk about on their health and nutrition Instagram accounts, then a few days later I was sitting on the couch with other friends hesitant to start an account because I didn’t like any of the names I came up with. They made me round robin a bunch of names and we landed on Mama Hu Hears. “Now just go and make it happen, just start!” dianamdeo said 

The idea of Mama Hu Hears came to me while on maternity leave. I found myself deeply missing the rapport I had with my patients and how it filled my heart to be able to be a resource for them. My friends encouraged me to share personal and professional experiences - I figured if my vulnerability helped at least one person along their, their family’s or child’s journey it would be worth it. This transformed my point of view - I never thought I lived or acted  differently than the rest of the (hearing) world - but I do. I’ve figured out and hacked my way to living life powerfully as a DHH individual. My shares made a significant impact so I wanted to do more. Happy FOURTH birthday Mama Hu Hears! Each and every one of you reading this: you’ve changed my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined - SO incredibly grateful for the amazing DHH community that I’ve gained, get to be a part of and get to support 🤟🏽 I couldn’t do it without you!
