“I initially got involved with Summer Welcome because of my mom. Growing up, my mom and all of her closest friends would share story after story about their life-changing experiences being Summer Welcome Leaders in the early 90s. So when I came to Mizzou, I immediately expressed interest in Summer Welcome. But since being at Mizzou, and being a Leader myself, I learned how important and valuable this role is. You are the first impression these incoming students get to Mizzou, and the few hours they spend with you can be a mix of emotions. “
