That time we called the Socotra police to come down and help us clean up the beach at Detwah Lagoon 🏝️

The lagoon was in a particularly bad shape that morning so when we came across it we knew we needed help - so we phoned up the local po-po and sure enough they arrived to help us remove the trash!

If you’re coming on one of our upcoming Socotra tours, you might just be roped into cleaning a beach. The island has a big trash problem and we are trying to do our part from cleaning up where we go to supporting the local foundation for sustainable development and biodiversity conservation. Education is the key to preserving Socotra’s future and stunning landscapes.
