It's one year since the fall of Kabul - One year since women across Afghanistan lost access to their hard-earned rights, education, and jobs.

On this sombre anniversary, Rocky Road Travel are honoured to announce an official partnership with Women For Women International (womenforwomende, womenforwomen) 

Since 1993, Women for Women International (WfWI) has been working with marginalised women in conflict-affected countries across the world. They were founded on the belief that stronger women build stronger nations. Their vision is for a world in which the most marginalised women affected by conflict lead lives of dignity and reach their full potential in their families and communities.

Every woman, regardless of her economic, ethnic, religious, or other circumstance, has the right to determine the course of her life and reach her full potential. 

Some of the most important work WfWi is undertaking today is in Afghanistan, where since 2002, they have reached more than 127,000 marginalised Afghan women in 5 provinces. They resumed operations this year in 3 provinces.

We are proud to help support their ongoing programs in Afghanistan as well as in Iraq, South Sudan and Syria amongst others.

Rocky Road Travel have committed to donating a percentage of all sales towards these programs on a quarterly basis without increasing our prices. This means that from today - every tour price will include a donation to WfWi with an option to donate more should you choose to. 

In a world where men are leading men into war, now is the time to invest in our future global female leaders.
