The final four teams for the playoffs have been set and they feature some familiar faces. The last two seasons have seen Black Pearl Elite, Cheaters, Nationwide Souljas, and a Franklin Session-led team all play in the semifinals, and while only Black Pearl Elite has been to the championship game since play restarted in 2021, all four remaining teams’ coaches all have experience when it comes to playing in the Drew League finale. After an exciting first two rounds of playoff action, here’s where they stand.

For the Still Bill division, Black Pearl had maybe the best weekend of the bunch, trampling GHOST and demolishing  in 20-point blowouts that never saw BPE pushed to their limits. Their wins were group efforts highlighted by outstanding performances by Dion Wright and Quenton Jackson and anchored by Sek “The Viper” Henry.

Cheaters, meanwhile, found themselves tested Friday night against Dawg Pound, who came out unwilling to fold. Task Force also kept things tight, but in both games, Casper Ware Jr absolutely unloaded to keep the Cheaters afloat, aided by outstanding scoring by Walt Lemon and G-Money, Garrett Nevels.

In the Alvin Wills division, Nationwide Souljas fended off West Coast Elite and straight up firebombed Young Citi out of the playoffs with a combination of size and shooting signified by a pair of big performances from Harrison Barnes. Kwahmere Gredic did his usual thing, as well, balancing out Nationwide’s scoring attack by dictating the offensive flow.

Although Tuff Fades needed – and got – a blessing from the basketball gods to put down the motivated Undisputed on Friday, Sunday’s rematch with Problems found them flourishing despite Frank Nitty’s absence, with Xavier Moon shooting the lights out, and Brandon “Bodybag” Moss and Ty Glover putting up their best games yet.
