## Caption

After a day roaming around Paris, I head back to my Airbnb and grab my luggage before heading to the airport. I pull up my boarding pass just before leaving the apartment, and realize something. My flight is not out of Orly (an hour by metro), but rather Beauvais–Tillé (at least two hours by metro). *insert panic*

I pull out my phone and message a mentor of mine, who also happens to be in Paris at the time danatchison , asking him for producer advice on how to handle the situation.
I knew I had to at least do something, so after a few glances at Google Maps, I thought I might be able to make it just in time, so I take off, running down the streets of St. Ouen. 
15 minutes later, I get to the train station that will connect me to the bus I’d need to take and ask a group of attendants which way I needed to go to catch the bus. They start speaking in French, glancing back at the map, then consulting with each other. They look back at me and just say, “Eh, impossible.” *panic escalates*

I check my phone and see that Dan has messaged me back. “Uber for sure. Just spend the money and do it.” Time is running thin. At this point, there is no way I’d make it using a metro. It was going to be an hour car ride, but I thought I would just be able to make it in time for my flight.

I call an Uber and Hichame (the guy in the picture) picks me up. He assures me we’d make it in time and he books it out of Paris. My stress level diminishes. We have some great conversations and I get to practice my French, but more importantly I made my flight to Rome.

Lesson Learned:
Some things are worth spending the extra money on.
